Chinese FActories Wanted

We Help Chinese Factories Enter the US Market

We want to be your US distributor.

However, a unique product means a unique business model.

US Dealers will not buy a container load of electric ATV’s that they don’t know if their customers will want.

They require proof that there is US demand before they will buy.

We at ElectricATVDirect.com want to provide that proof.

We are a US based Importer where we offer access to US customers.

We try to get multiple people together to order from you at the same time.

We hope to do this to grow sales and introduce the US market to your product.

FAQ for Factories

Who is ElectricATVDirect.com?

We have been importing products from China for over 16 years under our company name Part Distribution LLC. We understand how business with China works, and understand what you need. You will find us professional, quick to respond and easy to work with.

How does it work?

You provide us with detailed information about your specific models, any optional accessories and information about your company. The more information and high quality images/ videos the better.

We then list your ATVs on our website.

If someone makes a purchase, we pay you 100% in advance and use our import experience to import into the US.

We then work to grow the size of the next order, until we are importing containers at a time.

What kind of factory will you consider?

You must be the actual manufacturer and be setup to service a large Dealer network with proper after sales assistance. This assistance must include warranty, replacement parts, repair information and other assistance.

What kind of products?

Currently we are only interested in Off-Road vehicles that can be legally exported to the US. Though we are mostly interested in adult size electric ATVs, we are also interested in UTVs, Gokarts, Dirt Bikes, scooters, etc.

Anything off-road and Electric we are interested in.

Who will help the customer with service issues?

Our target market are consumers who know how to fix things themselves. This is actually more common in the US than you might think.

We handle all pre-sale customer service questions and only ask you if we can’t answer it ourselves. After the sale, we act as the customers first contact if they have an issue. We will do what we can to solve their issue without involving you. However, we are not a Dealer and have limited knowledge of your specific vehicles.

We ask that you provide us with any documentation you can that might make it easier for them to fix their own vehicles. We also ask that you make replacement parts easy for us to order for our customers that need them. The more help you offer us, the easier it will be for us to not have to consume your time trouble shooting issues.

Who will handle freight?

Unless you want to use your forwarder, we will have our freight forwarder handle all freight to the customers door. We have been importing various products for many years, so we know it will go smoothly for us. You must however have all legal rights in China to produce and export your vehicles to the US.

What can we do to help grow volume?

The faster the consumer can get a vehicle, the more likely they will buy from you instead of a different factory.

If you are serious about reaching the US market, and want to beat out other factories, the best thing you can do is send us a sample to advertise with. We will cover freight and logistics costs. With this sample, we will make professional videos and social media posts. We will use it to show customers what they would get when they order.

The absolute best thing you can do is build stock and let us ship it to our Minnesota Warehouse. Either a full container or even just 1 vehicle. We will then feature those vehicles so customers know they can receive their vehicle in 3 days instead of 3 months. We will pay for freight, duties and customs clearance. When a vehicle sells, we will TT you 100% of your FOB/EXW cost for that vehicle the very next day.

Do you offer US warehousing?

Yes, we can warehouse your vehicles in the US and then offer order fulfillment at your request or your dealers request.

If you plan to send samples to Dealers anyway, you can ship a container load of them to us and we will warehouse them in the US until you need them. If you have a perspective Dealer who wants a physical sample, let us know and we will ship them one from this US stock. It is a lot less expensive per sample if you ship multiple units at once. It is then a lot easier to get a sample to a perspective US Dealer since it ships from Minnesota to them instead of from China.

What paper work do you need?

We of course need all of the standard paper work for Customs clearance. Telex Release is fine. But for registration in the US, we also need an original copy of a Certificate of Origin (C/O) and a Bill of Sale. We will likely ask you to express these documents to the US.

Can we stop at any time?

Yes, as long as the last order is fulfilled, you can stop at any time. You just have to let us know so that we can remove your vehicles from our website.

Quality

As you probably know, the US consumer demands a high quality standard. We want your best quality to offer our customers. High quality especially during these first consumer orders will result in good reviews. Good reviews create more sales, bad reviews will eliminate future sales.

We may ask for a factory visit where we will inspect your quality controls and manufacturing processes.

Warranty

You must offer and also honor a respectable warranty. A good warranty program provides a lot of confidence that you will be a good long term partner.

This is one of the main concerns US Dealers have with Chinese factories. If a factory doesn’t have a good warranty or doesn’t support the Dealer, they will not take a chance on that factory.

US market specifications

For electric vehicles, most US customers will need a charger that accepts 110-120VAC 60 hz. Our plug style is NEMA5-15. Though some customers will want the option to upgrade to a 220-240VAC charger with a different plug.

In the US we go by miles per hour, not kilometers per hour. It is important that your speedometers include MPH.

Any user manual or documentation must be in English. We are very willing to help make sure your translations are in proper English. A good instruction manual will go a long ways in achieving a positive customer experience.

Certifications

Though we would prefer you have FCC, UL, CE, Rohos, etc. We would still be interested if you do not have those certifications. Please let us know what certifications you do have and any experience you have with exporting your vehicles to the US.

If your vehicle and charger does not have FCC listing, we ask that your company draft a formal document instead. This document should state that the vehicle was manufactured according FCC requirements and would pass FCC testing if tested. This will satisfy US regulations temporarily.

At a later time, we can assist you in getting your vehicles officially FCC listed. It isn’t very difficult or expensive to do here.

How does evatvdirect.com make money?

Because we are not a Dealer, we have very low overhead. How we make money are in the following ways:

We list your ATVs on our website for a price that covers your FOB cost, freight, logistics, tariffs, etc. We then add a small markup on top of that.
